The thermometer fits inside the solid stainless steel thermowell, which is positioned to transfer heat or cold from the medium being tested. They are recommended for all process systems where pressure, velocity or viscous, abrasive and corrosive materials are present. Thermowells also allow thermometers to be removed for replacement or repair without affecting the media being tested. These thermowells are one-piece Stainless Steel 316 construction available in four sizes. The NPT connections are 1/2".
